1. Overview

Always Swipe Right ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website alwaysswiperight.com and the services available through it (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

We built this product to help you get more value from your credit cards — not to monetize your personal data. We do not sell your information to third parties.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Email address — collected when you create an account.
  • Credit cards you add to your wallet — we store the card name and issuer (e.g. "Amex Gold Card"). We do not collect or store any card numbers, CVVs, expiration dates, or any payment credentials.
  • Benefit usage logs — when you mark a benefit as claimed, we store the benefit name, amount, and date.
  • Chat messages — questions you ask the AI assistant and its responses are stored so you can review your conversation history.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — when you click affiliate links to apply for a card, we log the card and the timestamp. No personal browsing data is collected.
  • Authentication tokens — we use secure, httpOnly cookies to maintain your session. These are not accessible to client-side scripts.

Information we do NOT collect

  • We do not collect your credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or any financial credentials.
  • We do not track your purchases or transactions.
  • We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics pixels, or sell your data to advertisers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service — displaying your wallet, benefits, and AI assistant responses.
  • To personalize the AI assistant — your wallet contents are sent to the AI to generate accurate, card-specific answers.
  • To track benefit usage — so you can see what credits you've claimed and how much value you've recovered.
  • To manage your subscription — if you upgrade to premium, we use your email to create a Stripe customer record and manage billing.
  • To improve the Service — we may review aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to understand how the product is being used.

4. AI Assistant

The AI assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you send a message, your question and relevant details from your wallet (card names, benefit data) are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

We do not send your email address or any payment information to Anthropic. Only the content of your chat messages and your wallet's card/benefit data are included in API requests.

5. Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store or handle your payment card information. All billing is managed directly by Stripe, and their use of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status in our database to determine whether your account has an active premium subscription.

6. Affiliate Links

Some card listings include affiliate links to card issuers' application pages. If you click one of these links, we log the click (card name and timestamp) and may earn a referral fee if you apply. We do not track whether you were approved or what you do on the issuer's website.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a managed database platform hosted on AWS. We use the following measures to protect it:

  • Row Level Security (RLS) — database-level policies ensure each user can only access their own data.
  • Encrypted connections — all data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
  • Server-side secrets — API keys and service credentials are stored as server-side environment variables and are never exposed to your browser.
  • No password storage — passwords are managed entirely by Supabase Auth using industry-standard hashing. We never see or store your password.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at privacy@alwaysswiperight.com.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Opt out of certain data uses

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@alwaysswiperight.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
